Implementing XML-3

The implementation phase is mostly down to you. We do not require your development to be completed in any set time frame. You can develop your solution as fast or as slow as you like. The EDI Implementation Team can help support you through this process and help you in any way we can. The EDI team cannot however develop any part of your solution or support your solution after go live but the team can offer advise on process, give information on parts of the services that are not understood and guide you through using the XML services and your testing period.

Things we will need from you

We want your development and implementation to go as smooth as possible and want to offer you support when you need it. To do this we need some additional information from you...

  • Schedules

The EDI team will need copies of a project plan and development schedule as well as copies of the proposed testing schedule. This provides us with valuable information as to when we can assign resources to you for support.

  • Testing and Sign Off

You will need to download and fill in one of our test plans and send it to us once you believe you have completed your testing. You must test each method that you have been granted access to. You can complete the testing by method or for the entire solution before sending us the data. You just need to keep us informed of your testing schedule so we can follow you through the process. The EDI team will validate the data you have sent through and sign off each method to confirm you will not run into any complications on go live. If at any point you ask for access to additional methods you will need to go back to the testing stage to be signed off before access is granted on the live system.

  • Go Live

Once your solution has been proven and signed off. You will be asked to supply us a suggested go live date. If resources from the EDI team are not available on this date we will arrange a date as close to the one you have requested. The EDI team will monitor your orders being processed through the system for the following three days and keep you up to date on the progress. If major errors occur the system may have to be stopped and moved back to testing to eradicate the issues encountered in the live environment.
